Danielle Lupfer, down the street from Oh wow, what a great video. Outstanding. Nice work you guys. Whew. You made me cry! I'll never forget the evening that Beth told us that Dale had been diagnosed with cancer. We were just getting to know each other then, but I already knew what wonderful people you are. I was angry at cancer, sad for you and the kids. Dale, you are an amazing man, how dare cancer try and take you down?? Beth, so sweet, and here comes cancer to turn your life upside down? No, not my friends, no, not the Auers! Yes, I was mad. And scared for you guys. Now, it's been almost 4 years!! WOW!! Dale, you are a fighter in the truest sense of the word. I admire you and your strength. When I'm having a bad MS day, I think of you and am inspired to stay strong and continue the fight even on the days when I just want to crawl in to a hole. You are MY inspiration. I think about you all the time, sending you positive and healing vibes every day. I (we) are always here for you if you need us. Stay strong and never give up the fight. Love you guys.

Nancy Flint-Barber, Oklahoma City, OK Dale - I worked for you almost 20 years ago. Every single time across almost 20 years when I have sought your counsel, you have answered my calls. You were in inspiration THEN and taught me so much about true leadership. You could have done things a million times better and faster than me but you let me do things on my own and make mistakes but rather than chew me out for having made mistakes, you showed me my errors and let me correct them with gentle guidance. You gave me a tremendous amount of confidence in my own ability to THINK my way out of problems. That extended to all areas of my life. You introduced me to the world by showing me how I fit into a global chain of command with my military service. I was a small part, but stil a part of the USAF & my service had meaning. Then you really were the person who awakened my political understanding as well because you contextualized the world for me. You helped me understand that while a person's role may be small, it contributes to a greater team which in turn contributes to a greater community. We carry the responsibility of citizenship. I have taken that lesson very seriously since then. You never allowed me to say "I think....." without following up with an arguement to JUSTIFY why I thought what I thought. That was the single item that I asked of my students when I began teaching. Don't just tell me the answer, tell me WHY that is the answer. Your teaching me got passed on to at least some of those kids. That is a tremendously valuable legacy for you and I hope you keep that with you through this battle. Your graciousness inspired other people - you began a lot of ripples in life Dale. It was a blessing to see you and Beth this past spring. You are dealing with this illness like any other project I have seen you work on - define what the problem is, get educated about solutions to the problem, and choose a path for resolution. The same work ethic that you have applied your whole working life is helping you win the battle for your actual life. Beth has been your co-pilot and you guys are a fabulous team. There is tremendous strength in that support system. I have been and will always be honored by your presense in my life. Thank you for your examples of a life well lead. Emily and Albert are blessed children to have such wonderful parents. I know this is a terrible struggle emotionally and physically on all of you. I pray every day for you and your family. I love you a great deal. You have been a huge influence on me and I am grateful every day for you. Nancy

Debi, Fountain Dale, you are so strong to not only fight this personal battle but also lend your time to help others and bring awareness to issues in the health care system. Though I don't see you as much know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Jeremy and I send our love and hope to you and Beth and the kids. I learned so much from you and continue to learn that I can be strong overcome anything by seeing your strength and positive attitiude. You're amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave, Boulder Keep fighting Dale!
